As part of our Enterprise and Vocational Projects we will have HIV education and awareness modules included however we will also run projects and workshops exclusively for HIV awarenss and prevention aimed at a variety of age ranges. As part of our commitment to health we will also be running some football HIV education and awareness projects. As we mentioned on our website last year.
Jill Thrussell devised our framework method after reviewing the ABC method which she felt didn't address all the issues. Poverty is a major factor which influences sexual behaviour especially when it comes to women being manipulated by predatory males. She devised a new framework which goes beyond what ABC tried to achieve called ACT Faithful, Value Yourself, Value Others
A - Abstinence
C- Condomise
T- Test Yourself
Faithful - for being faithful to one partner
Value Yourself - Unprotected Sex puts your life at risk if you value your life you don't expose yourself to risks which will ultimately end it more quickly
Value Others- putting the lives of others at risk implies you do not value their lives either, being responsible with your life and their life protects you both from exposure to HIV
If you would like more information on our framework or those working for HIV education/prevention organisations if you would like to use our programme for HIV prevention and education projects for example in local health provider programmes please do not hesitate to get in touch. HIV/Aids affects millions worldwide and this war that it has raged on humanity can only be overcome through education and protection. If you are an HIV/Aids organisation that works in the UK or the US with clients in those countries and want us to do a presentation that can be discussed also.
