Our enterprise projects in Kibera are shortly due to celebrate our first graduates and enterprise start up benefactors. We would just like to thank all those that got involved and supported our work. From market stalls selling products, to hairdressors, to producers of cooked products. We will look at expanding on this work and moving into market start up assistance as part of bigger projects in the year to assist in developing infrastructure to support the Enterprise Training projects and benefactors. Getting to know Uhuru Africa

As part of our Enterprise and Vocational Projects we will have HIV education and awareness modules included however we will also run projects and workshops exclusively for HIV awarenss and prevention aimed at a variety of age ranges. As part of our commitment to health we will also be running some football HIV education and awareness projects. As we mentioned on our website last year.

Jill Thrussell devised our framework method after reviewing the ABC method which she felt didn't address all the issues. Poverty is a major factor which influences sexual behaviour especially when it comes to women being manipulated by predatory males. She devised a new framework which goes beyond what ABC tried to achieve called ACT Faithful, Value Yourself, Value Others

A - Abstinence

C- Condomise

T- Test Yourself

Faithful - for being faithful to one partner

Value Yourself - Unprotected Sex puts your life at risk if you value your life you don't expose yourself to risks which will ultimately end it more quickly

Value Others- putting the lives of others at risk implies you do not value their lives either, being responsible with your life and their life protects you both from exposure to HIV
